About

What's up?

I'm Joseph Hernandez. I am currently a full-time student at University of California- San Diego who is majoring in Data Science. I love to get lost in the heat of exercise. More specifically, strength training. That's one reason I started this blog. I love to write and learn more things regarding strength.

I've been training for roughly 4 years, and I dabble in weightlifting, calisthenics, and I'm a powerlifter. Notably, I hold several records in the USPA. I'm looking to compete IPL and other federations soon (USAPL, WRPF).

I have a dream to meet my strongest self and make sure to have fun along the way. *That's what it's about, right?

(They say he's still walking)

Another reason I started Calisthenics Agora is because I wanted to provide simple, thorough information, while trying to get straight to the point. Plus, I feel like some articles are lacking depth, understanding, and points which are often left out. So, I try to include them here.

It's my mission to write effectively, teach my readers, and stay up to date with the latest findings! Hopefully, with each article, I enlighten readers with a kernel of knowledge whether they have recently started training, or they have been training for years.

If you ever, ever have questions, please reach out to me. I reply within 48 hours.
